TERMS AND CONDITIONS (AS AT 8 April 2024)

RIDE PAYMENT/CANCELLATIONS

Ride deposits are to be paid before a booking is accepted as confirmed.

To secure your booking Ride deposits of $500 per rider must be made within 48 hours of receiving acknowledgement from Cochran Horse Treks of your booking availability.  

IN THE CASE OF RIDE CANCELLATION

By the Customer

Ride deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but can be held in credit for another available ride within 12 months of the original ride date. Any difference in the ride fee is applicable at the new date rates. One date transfer only. (subject to the following points) 

1.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU – within 72 hours of ride departure – no refund – no transfer.

2.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU 3 weeks or less prior to your ride departure – No refund – ride transfer available.

3.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU 8 weeks or less prior to your ride departure – 50% refund of fee balance (not deposit) – ride transfer available.

4.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU greater than 8 weeks prior to your ride departure – No deposit on refund – balance is refundable and ride is fully transferable.

5.      No shows – full payment will be retained – no refund, no transfer.

Changes or cancellations made by Cochran Horse Treks Pty Ltd.

Cochran Horse Treks Pty Ltd reserve the right to cancel, alter or postpone any ride due to circumstances that pose an unreasonable risk to guests, staff and livestock, such as adverse and severe weather, fire, natural disaster or pandemic.

In the unlikely event that Cochran Horse Treks Pty Ltd is forced to cancel or postpone a trek (prior to commencement or during the ride) due to extreme weather conditions or natural disaster no refund will be given.

If it is necessary to alter or cancel your ride, we will:

·        brief you of changes at our earliest convenience.  

·        Offer you a comparable alternative – subject to bookings availability

·        Transfer your booking to an alternative holiday.

·        If the alternative holiday is less expensive you will be entitled to a refund of the difference.

·        If the alternative is more expensive you will be required to pay the difference with 10 days of accepting the transfer of your new booking.

In exchange for the above terms and conditions, you agree that Cochran Horst Treks Pty Ltd are not responsible nor liable for any necessary changes or cancellations of your booking or associated travel expenses due to events of circumstances beyond our control. (including but not limited to political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, epidemic or health risks, Acts of God, adverse weather conditions and any other similar events.)  

Covid 19 Vaccination Cancellation Policy:  The customer shall comply with all government (Federal and state) COVID vaccination or testing requirements when booking our tours. Where the customer is not vaccinated and or tested prior to departure from the customers home location, the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid. Where the customer cancels due to travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, the operator shall have a discretion (a) to offer a credit note (to be used at a later time), or (b) to forfeit any and all monies paid by a customer. For the purpose of (a), the operator reserves the right to withhold such reasonable sum to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given by the customer .
