BOOKING TERMS: Deposit of $500 due on acceptance of all bookings. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred within 12 months of original booking date. Admin fees may be applied to changes.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (AS AT 8 April 2024)

BOOKINGS: Please fill in the Rider Booking Form (on this webpage), we will respond confirming your dates. A deposit of $500 will confirm your booking. Please complete all details on the Booking form. This information is used to establish which horse you will be matched with. Two months prior to your ride date you will receive relevant information (Invoice reminder, Packing List, Directions etc). If you have any questions please contact info@cochranhorsetreks.com.au

Weight Limit: Weight restriction of 100kg apply; we ask that you inform us if you are above 6 foot or over 100kg this allows us to consider our horse selection.

Minimum Rider Age: 10 years


RIDE PAYMENT/CANCELLATIONS

Ride deposits are to be paid before a booking is accepted as confirmed.

To secure your booking Ride deposits of $500 per rider must be made within 72 hours of receiving acknowledgement from Cochran Horse Treks of your booking availability.  

IN THE CASE OF RIDE CANCELLATION

By the Customer

Ride deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but can be held in credit for another available ride within 12 months of the original ride date. Any difference in the ride fee is applicable at the new date rates. One date transfer only. (subject to the following points) 

1.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU – within 7 days of ride departure – no refund – no transfer.

2.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU 3 weeks or less prior to your ride departure – No refund – ride transfer available (once only).

3.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU 3 -8 weeks prior to your ride departure – 50% refund of fee balance (not deposit) – ride transfer available (once only - within 12 months).

4.      CANCELLATION OF A RIDE BOOKING BY YOU greater than 8 weeks prior to your ride departure – No deposit on refund – balance is refundable and ride is fully transferable (once only within 12 months).

5.      No shows – full payment will be retained – no refund, no transfer.

Changes or cancellations made by Cochran Horse Treks.

Cochran Horse Treks reserve the right to cancel, alter or postpone any ride due to circumstances. Such as (but not limited to): risk to guests, staff and livestock, adverse and severe weather, fire, health issues, natural disaster or pandemic.

In the unlikely event that Cochran Horse Treks is forced to abandon, cancel or postpone a trek (prior to commencement or during the ride) due to above-mentioned conditions no refund will be given.

If it is necessary to alter or cancel your ride, we will:

·        brief you of changes at our earliest convenience.  

·        Offer you a comparable alternative – subject to bookings availability

·        Transfer your booking to an alternative holiday.

·        If the alternative holiday is less expensive - you may be entitled to a refund of the difference. (less % of expenses incurred by CHT)

·        If the alternative is more expensive you will be required to pay the difference with 14 days of accepting the transfer of your new booking.

In exchange for the above terms and conditions, you agree that Cochran Horse Treks are not responsible nor liable for any necessary changes or cancellations of your booking or associated travel expenses due to events of circumstances beyond our control. (including but not limited to political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, closure of airports or ports, industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural disasters, fire, epidemic or health risks, Acts of God, adverse weather conditions and any other similar events.)  

Covid 19 Vaccination Cancellation Policy:  The customer shall comply with all government (Federal and state) COVID vaccination or testing requirements when booking our tours. Where the customer does not comply with Government regulations the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid. Where the customer cancels due to travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, the operator shall have a discretion (a) to offer a credit note (to be used at a later time), or (b) to forfeit any and all monies paid by a customer. For the purpose of (a), the operator reserves the right to withhold such reasonable sum to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given by the customer .
