Winter Update

Writing early AM from a frost covered Yaouk Valley - A crystal clear blue sky morning & the sun is just starting to warm the valley & send up little fog vapours! To date we're experiencing a relatively mild winter. The horses are enjoying their off-season break and many of them are wearing brand new rugs. Athough Katie and Twiggy have become houdinis and keep slipping out of theirs! (no damage to rugs so can't quite work out how they do it!) We're looking forward to a fantastic spring season (only 10 short weeks away) with an unprecedented volume of advance bookings. We advise an additional 2 treks are now closed for further bookings (28th Nov 2010 - 4 day trek and 21st Feb 2011 - 5 day trek) Several other scheduled treks are coming close to closing, so if you're thinking of joining us for a fantastic Snowy Mountains horseback experience, please book early to avoid disappointment! Can't wait to see you in the Spring!!!

National Park Entry Fees

We regretfully advise that due to increasing fees levied by National Parks and Wildlife Department, we can no longer absorb the cost of daily National Park entry fees for our guests and ask that riders add the $5.00 per day (adults) & $1.60 per day (children under 16) to their balance owing for trek and Cochran Horsetreks will still administer and onforward these levies. This will apply as from new financial year commencing July 2010. Thankyou!
